Angela's Birthday & Misc

So, we survived the first week of school in a foreign country! Granted, we work where our kids attend, so we had an instant advantage. I'm beat because it was Angela's birthday, and I stayed up with Noah watching Wreck It Ralph
a bit late... So this will be more of an assortment of photos from the last few days.

Here's Sydney at the mall:

And at the convenience store (similar to Walgreen's):

The newest member of our household! I took the first subway ride with Sydney further into the city, and managed (thanks Google Maps App!) to find this big music store. This store had HUNDREDS of new and used guitars, and I snagged this used Yamaha acoustic for the equivalent of about $95! I don't think I'd do that well in the U.S.!

Angela's birthday "cake" - a sort of cream pie with fruit of top. It survived a ride in my bicycle basket from the store in 90F+ heat! This photo does it no justice! It's great tasting though and looked much better!

Karaoke place on the way back from her birthday dinner at Nan Master. We didn't stop in, just walked past. Also a reminder of how bicycle friendly Japan is! It's how we get around mostly!

Noah won some sparklers at school as a game prize, and our teacher friends from upstairs joined us (and generously provided the lighter) in the parking lot after dinner for a sparkler party:

Seth: So serious!

That's all for now! This app is acting up only phone and it's nearly midnight! I rarely stay up past 11 since we've moved here, the more communal living/sleeping space is more conducive to earlier bedtime!
